The shirt reads: “mitocorndriog.”
Underneath it, a corn dog on a stick, drawn in cross-section with the folded inner membrane of a mitochondrion where the sausage should be. Biology textbook on the inside, county fair on the outside.
Everyone remembers that the mitochondrion is the powerhouse of the cell. This takes the one biology fact that survived school and deep-fries it. For science teachers, lab groups, anyone who still finds the cell diagram funny, and anyone who has eaten a corn dog at a fairground and felt genuinely powered up afterwards.
