In the panel, the crowned queen lowers her sword towards a knight who is not kneeling so much as lying curled on the floor with his arms over his head, playing dead.
Survival instinct, and his is to go limp. It is the funniest of the knight series because the pose is so undignified and so obviously effective. For anyone whose response to a difficult meeting is to become very small and very quiet until it passes.
